Season 2023 & 2024 - ACA Pro Guide
Turning a passion into a career is always a gamble, but when I started guiding two years ago WCA quickly put those worries to rest. The team provided thorough, personalized training throughout the season, and I always felt supported. No question was too small, and I felt completely comfortable asking for help whenever needed.
Two seasons in the Canadian Rockies were beyond anything I could have imagined. Waking up to the mountains every day felt surreal, and guiding in a number of different canyons meant that no two days were the same. One of the most rewarding parts of the job was working alongside so many strong women. The gender gap in outdoor sports is significant, so to share this experience with such an exceptional crew was a rare privilege.
My days with WCA were a perfect mix: busy mornings organizing trips, incredible afternoons exploring the Rockies’ canyons, and evenings spent laughing with the guide team while cleaning up. With this company, I explored one of the most beautiful places in the world, met some of the most fantastical characters and progressed as both a guide and recreational canyoner.

I had the incredible opportunity to live in Canada for two years, where I worked with WCA. It was a pleasure to be part of such a motivated, dynamic group always looking for new ideas and projects.
The main goal is to constantly improve and refine our skills.
When guiding with Guillaume and the team, I always feel safe due to our strong communication (drop-in checks and exit checks, always check messages).
We’re fortunate to have clients from all over the world, which makes every day exciting and unique. The tours we offer are diverse as well—some are more aquatic, others are vertical, and some are a mix of both, all are adapted to different interests and skill levels.

If you’re joining our team, you’re likely passionate about exploration and the sport. Here are some side recreational projects WCA members would love to involve the right people in:
Recreational Exploration & equipment of previous exploration
In September 2023, four team members explored one of the most beautiful and fun V4A5 canyons in the Rockies. Unfortunately, we weren’t prepared for over 20 waterfalls. While we managed to complete the first descent on trad anchors, we couldn't leave optimal anchors for future descents. The remoteness of the location and alpine conditions makes access difficult, and in 2024, we didn’t have the time or team members to return. The good news is that there are at least two other promising canyons in the area, and we're highly motivated for 2025!
Yearly Explorations
It is usually a 2 to 3 weeks window and sometimes, even through December, the glacier-fed canyons in the Canadian Rockies are still running—not fully clogged with ice and snow—and at manageable water levels. Every year is different, so don’t ask us to predict! We have more projects on our list than we can tackle, so if you're patient and motivated, you might be lucky enough to catch one of those short windows. We've been working on some of these projects for 7 years without completing full first descents in some cases. Expect extreme conditions.
Retracing the Pioneers' Path & New Explorations
We won’t lie—this will be a difficult project to fund, and we’ll need people ready to participate. There won’t be many spots available. Some of WCA’s founding mentors have been exploring the Rockies for over 30 years, and this initial trip was done on horseback. The reward was discovering one of the best canyons in the Rockies, along with several other promising spots. While we’ve considered recreating the trip this way, the time commitment—3 days instead of 30 minutes approach—has led us to lean towards the heli option. The goal is to document and assess the feasibility of offering a guided trip.
